It is a common claim that in a good photograph all verticals and horizontal lines shall be aligned in parallel to the edges of the frame.

Well, personally I’m not the biggest fan of such absolute rules.
Sometimes this attitude gets me into pretty intense discussions about compositions that follow or break rules.

Right after such an engaged discussion, I went out together with a good friend and took this photograph – just out of spite and as tilted and twisted as I could get it. And if that wasn’t enough, I had to add this lengthy German title to it (sorry – it doesn’t translate very well – at least not with my skills).

What strikes me though: Only after I had arranged at least one line in parallel to the frame outline, I was happy with the image 🙂
